EDIT: A LOT ABOUT THIS GAME HAS CHANGED, SCROLL DOWN FOR THE LATEST INFO
Hi there! I have recently started work on Fighting Cats, a 2D side-scroller about shooting up the cat mafia! You play as a cat who has had something dear to him destroyed by the mafia and you must get your revenge. Luckily, you manage to escape from your house and get a handy pistol, now, with nothing to lose, you exact your revenge on those who have wronged you...

The main idea for this game is to let the player have fun and make some cool weapon combos, I am also always open to feedback and suggestions. The end goal is a full Steam release and hopefully this can gain enough traction here to fund that. This game is also being made completely solo by me, a kid with an idea, and I hope you can have as much fun with this as I have.

I will release a demo soon enough when I finish the first little part of the game, which will have the basic gameplay mechanics, pistol, and some enemies to shoot! The soundtrack will vary from hard rock to calming guitar/piano, also made completely by me.

Here is a basic gameplay teaser showing off some of the gameplay, weapons (without the pistol funny enough), very basic enemies, and part of a song I've made.

Anyway I've yapped long enough, I'll probably update this soon, until then, uh... idk

I'm trying to make this game a little more unique so I'm changing up the games core mechanic: combat.

Instead of walking around with a gun, I've decided to add a deck system of attacks an abilities, but that would mean getting rid of the real-time combat, well what if I worked around that. Instead I'm added a button (on your keyboard most likely) that'll stop (or really slow down) time and you can select enemies to attack with your deck.

Each weapon will have its own BIG deck and from that you'll be able to choose a smaller deck, and at the beginning of each level you'll be able to pick a few random cards from the smaller deck. You won't be able to pick a new deck until you've completed the level, in which you'll be able to pick a new deck anytime you restart. (And maybe I'll make it so you can pick whatever cards you want at the end of the game)

Anyway that's it for now, I'll try and upload pictures shortly
