Feedback needed for my first game

Hi there !

I made my very first game with Godot Engine 4 called Zookaa Fruits.

Since it's inspired by Suika Game, I wanted to add more cool features like throwing the fruits with momentum (even outside the bowl), combo multiplier, reverse mode where you control the bowl instead of the cloud, rush mode where you battle against the clock. I also tuned up the physics to add some bounciness and friction to fruits.

Now, there's a leaderboard function so you can compare your score against people around the world. And... there's more little features and details to discover ^^.

The game is available here : https://dimeao.itch.io/zookaafruits (PC, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, etc.) and is compatible with Keyboard, Dual Shock, Xbox Controller and many other controllers

Questions :

- Do you enjoy graphics ?

- How's the physics ?

- Is the game smooth on your device ?

- Your opinion about game modes ?

- What could be improved ?

- Any question or suggestion ?

- Is the project page clear and helpful ?

I'm actively working to enhance the game... Thank you in advance for your feedback ! It's very important for me.

I played your game on Debian 12. It ran perfectly fine with no troubles whatsoever.

I loved the graphics.

I had fun with the physics,

It was smooth on my PC.

The default game mode felt somewhat slow-paced. Since you have complete control over when the fruits fall, it never feels like you're gonna lose. Unless you give up. I liked the reverse mode. It felt like I was playing reverse tetris. But again, because I had control over when the items will fall, it felt like I'd never really lose. Have you played fruit ninja? The scary thing about that game is that sometimes you'll accidentally cut the bombs. That'd make you lose. I think that is what is missing. There are no 'bombs' in your game, no fear of failure, something that truly makes me worried about losing, makes me cautious.

The project page is nice. I liked it. Looks clear and pretty. I think your game is headed in a good direction. Good luck to you!

Thank you very much for testing the game and giving me your feedback.

Indeed, I think that adding destructive items or items that slow down progression can be a very good idea!

I was thinking at one point about adding a card drawing system or random powerups that could temporarily help in progression, as well as make it much more difficult. I need to think about the best way to implement it ^^.

Thank you very much for taking the time to give me precise and complete feedback. I will take it into account.

I think that is a good idea, if the game is a little more fast-paced and has some powerups and destructive items (like worms that can eat the fruit or spoil them to deduct points), it would improve the game even further. I would like to play it again some time.
