idk what engine your using, but "coding AI behavior" and creating a diverse biome map in any engine is gonna take a very long time. especially for a game jam.

thanks for the input. How long do game jams typically last? I’m using unity and I’m making decent progress on my current map, although I don’t see it being completed anytime soon, I am only doing it by myself and it doesn’t seem that difficult so far.
