What Is The Best Way To Promote Your Game

Hello there!

Recently I made my first 3D game, and I think some people might be experiencing the same thing.

The question is "Am I just really bad at promoting my game?". I see so many great games that probably won't reach it's full potential because not many people are able to find and play it, and I started thinking about it. What's the best way of promoting your game?  Waiting for someone 'popular' to play it? Slowly promoting it in other websites?

I feel the best way of promoting a game is:

Actually have a marketing plan, and one that involves variety.

Even if such may not always be easy to do, with some of us being more developer-minded rather than marketing minded.

Here are some questions to ask yourself when forming a marketing plan:

1. What's in it for others?

2. Will doing this create appeal, or just create noise?

3. How can I do things for others, if I want them to do something for me and play my game?

I realize that my advice may not be the best and most specific there is to offer, and also may not be the right approach for every personality type, but I feel it's a start, and some of these questions have helped me gain a better picture.

For some reason they saw this and started to be part of the community that spams their test project in game jams.

I THINK ITCH ITSELF GAVE A GREAT COMMUNITY

BUT TO ENHANCE YOUR AUDIENCE YOU COULD USE OTHER SOCAIL MEDIA PLATFORMS

e.g. YOUTUBE , INSTAGRAM , X , FACEBOOK AND TIKTOK
