2 colors??

I've only been using Bitsy for about 3 days now. I'm currently trying hard to get something together for the 'Mechs' jam. I've enrolled in a few jams here-and-there, but have never really finished a game, so-to-speak. I'm trying VERY HARD to finish something playable!

I get the basic principles of an avatar and how it's animated. Cool.......2 sprites that 'jump' back and forth giving the appearance of movement....no problem. But: I want to make a slight color alteration on Sprite 2, so when animate, it appears the Mech's guns are firing......y'know, muzzle flash!  But, I can't seem to create 2 different colors on one individual sprite......? Can that be done??

Good luck getting the game finished!!!

Unfortunately what you're describing isn't possible within Bitsy editor, womp womp.

It is possible to add a hack to your game to give sprites transparent backgrounds, so you can layer them over tiles and have more than two colours on a tile, but as far as I know there's not a way to have a sprite always sitting on top of your avatar (there is a hack to make a sprite follow your avatar but it probably won't give the effect you're after).

Even if it's not going to solve the problem in this particular case, here's the hack repo in case you want to look at some of the other things hacks can do  https://github.com/seleb/bitsy-hacks.

Good info.....and thanks for the encouragement!!
