Hello, I wanted to ask why YouTubers have a base of only 4 rooms, and I have a base of 10 rooms, how can I fix this? is this some version? (sorry, I'm writing from a translator)

(+5)

Most videos you will see now won't all be up-to-date. The smaller base is the 0.6.3 version of the game, while we are currently in the experimental phase of 0.7.0 and 0.7.0a, whereas we have the bigger base, more content, events and other things.

I understand well, thank you

No problem. Happy to help. :)

If this helps anyone, it took me a while to realize, there is an easier way to push and pull heavy objects. Makes moving them around much, much easier. Though they still can't get through doors great, it makes it easier to move them.

If you hold your sprint key before grabbing an object, you can push and pull it easier. Just make sure you're holding your sprint key while doing so.

I can't play this game because when I click on it nothing happens

Could you explain a bit more? Does trying to launch the game bring up the folder it is installed to or anything?

did you unzip the compressed folder it comes in?

I know two known problems of such kind.

1 - itch downloaded game in zip. And instead of launching the game it just opens folder with it.

Just simply unzip it in the same folder and it will start working.

2 - You can't interact or do nothing in menus in game(main menu or inventory).

It's resolution problem. Main menu use resolution of your screen and work perfectly.

But when you enter the game it will switch to chosen in settings resolution. And for whatever reason it set on 1900x1000 by definition(don't remember correct numbers)

And that twist menus.

Switch to resolution of your screen (or lover if you want). And it will work.

at what resolution

Here's another tip that I've been using for a while. Never go above 70% sleep, unless you feel it's necessary. What you can do is while you are waiting for stuff to process, or when radar dishes are turning, just take a quick nap and wake up when it's done. Repeat this and you will get through your tasks quick. It'll at least pass the time quicker when you have nothing else to do. So long as you're below 70%, you can sleep.

Another tip for the day. This one is split into two parts. First, never send out a signal under than 1000 MB. To my knowledge, anything under 1000 will pay less. Second, if your signal is of something other than a planet or asteroid (and that first doesn't apply) don't send it. I believe you won't get paid for signals that could be considered an event or rare. I may be wrong about that one. It may be dependent on what kind of signal it is.

Use your equipment efficiently and you'll find yourself with more money to spend for things you want! Though, this is a lot more helpful late game when you get paid more regardless because of tier 3 processing, it'll still help not use equipment as fast, though, so you aren't spending as much money on things you NEED.

(+3)

I looked into signal glossary, all not random event signals cost 30 for all levels, so it may be better to send signals that caused something to happen when downloaded even on 0 level to get more points. Also, it is better to not send out signals only if they are less than 0,5 MB instead of 1 MB, because most signals that are more than 0,5 MB still cost same amount of points, and all signals that are less than 0,5 MB cost 0 for all levels

Thank you for the correction. I wasn't totally sure myself; I was mostly going by feel.

Here is another tip for the day. There's a lot of ways to earn money, but selling garbage works in two ways. You can use garbage bags to bag-up garbage piles around the base and the world, and this'll go for quite a bit of money if you bag-up a bunch. However, small pieces of garbage don't go for much, if any at all. You can, however, use these small bits of garbage to craft with. From metal scrap, plastic, paper, you can craft it all from your garbage.

As an example, you can get plastic scrap from a few empty water bottles. It goes beyond this, though. That gas you use for your ATV? When you run out of gas, two gas cans will make metal scrap, which is very valuable for crafting. You can use this metal scrap for crafting Omega Kerfur, or slots for the Frame, and even Coolers to upgrade said frame.

Don't go completely overboard with this, however. You'll craft more plastic scrap than you know what to do with, because -- as far as I'm aware -- there isn't much to craft in the game yet, and not much to do at all with plastic. You can craft a few for Omega Kerfur, but otherwise, just sell plastic and paper. it won't be worth much, but it's better than uselessly sitting at base. Unless somebody knows of another recipe with such things that I haven't been able to find.

Really useful stuff for early game. Buying and upgrading a frame is expensive and time consuming, but if you craft enough metal scrap early, you can at least skip the process of having to buying stuff to scrap for the slots, and get at least a cooler or two in with minimal money spent.

Another daily tip. Unless you wanna use your bedroom for RP reasons, consider getting yourself a sleeping bag and putting it in your work room. This goes together with my 70% sleeping tip. Waiting for a drone? Waiting for radars to line up to a signal? Waiting for a signal to process, or download? Just take a few steps (or put it right at your chair, do whatever you like with your sleeping bag) take a quick nap and boom, you are getting through your tasks at a fast pace.

Try listening for the beep coming from inside during your naps when the processing has finished, and you can really maximize your time efficiency. Nap on the downtime, and work when there's stuff to be done. Sometimes, it pays to sleep 5% at a time, in case you can't hear you things finish.

Good tip but i don't recomend to sleep while waiting for drone.

Because by my research - drone working WAY slower while you sleeping.

In some situations it's not so serious. But i have few times where i send drone with work and fall asleep only to wake up to understand that drone didn't delivered it in time. Even tho there was a plenty of time for it to go there and back few times in a row (=_=)

(+4)

Actually, with this official update, they made the drone properly faster while sleeping. It is so much faster than before in GENERAL.

Daily tip time! (MINOR SPOILERS)

Find yourself running out of food, or wish to spend less money on food? Or perhaps you're trying to feed the plush, and want to be cost efficient in doing so? Consider befriending your friendly neighborhood Aririals! Once they move into their treehouse, try leaving them shrimp once a day, and they will bestow upon you lovely gifts, like daily shrimp, a box of cookies, or even feed you in your sleep with cups of (what I would assume is) blue pudding, that can also restore a bit of your sleep.

(1 edit) (+2)

info dump on rep system for those who want to know, all learned from experience

You need 20 shrimp packs (300 points) to bring your reputation from 0 (neutral reputation) to 100 (maximum reputation).  It takes double the amount (40 shrimp packs; 600 points) to bring your reputation from -100 (minimum reputation) to 100.  Your reputation with the Aririals starts at 0 and the earliest you can give them shrimp is day 8 during the picnic event (not recommended due to your financial problems this early on).  They'll also stop pranking you when you have a good reputation with them and provide all of the benefits above.

(+1)

Thanks for your contribution to help others. :)

Is there a reason for them to be hostile towards the player in the first encounter? I've tried to leave them something at the picnic, but only got smacked with a few plastic cups in the face with popup "-2" twice. They didn't even let me get close, just became agressive. Not only that, but 2 nights after that this popup repeats itself even though i just sit in my base every night, not doing anything. Is there a gameplay reason? Are they stupid, perhaps?

Hi, can you give me advice on where I should leave the shrimps for them? Should I bring them to their tree house?
Thank you so much for what you are doing!

Hey, I really appreciate that! To answer your question, you can simply leave the shrimp at the treehouse. I usually leave them up by where they put their beds, but I am not sure if it matters where you put them. If you need confirmation, you can turn on an experimental setting called "Aririal Rep Debug Popup" that will let you know when you influence their friendship.

Oh, ok, just recently watched a video with tips that said to leave shrimps near the door of base, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet

Btw, I'd like to ask a question about the door to the room that turns on the lights in the hallway, is there any legal way to find the code for it? This is my second playthrough and I have not been able to find anything other than the pass 1234 note which is not correct.

Really? That's strange. I also started up a new playthrough when the official 0.7.0 came out, and the 1234 note was the passcode to my door. If the issue persists, you could do one of two things: either you can buy lights yourself to light up the hallway, or you could buy a password changer for the door. If it really isn't the code, though, and you haven't done anything to the door, I would advise reporting this as a bug in the pinned thread.

Another daily tip! Annoyed at your ATV having a mind of its own? Try going a little slower. I find that the frantic behavior is mostly because of boosting. Use your boosts in short bursts.

Not sure if this is true as I'm too lazy to check, but it seems like when you make a time record in solving a server puzzle - you get more points

I would check, but beating my record is really hard when I'm really dumb and can't do simple math. lol. I'm sure somebody else can try and factcheck, though.

(+1)

I'm pretty positive you get about 15 points when you get a personal best.
I'm currently at 8.33 seconds, but I'm sure there's some math freak that can make that look like child's play. It'll give you a different sound when it happens, but I'm getting used to the new sounds, so it's gonna take me a bit to be able to identify the regular noise to the "personal best set" noise in order to describe them.
On another note, I'm wondering if there's a way to cheat the system so you can get a boatload of points. Presumably the dev's set some kind of limit to the timer, but I'd be curious to find out what the cap might be. They might also just have the server kick you out of the menu in a later update, so I don't expect it to be a thing for very long.

Anyway, I'm thinking one could wait for some really long period of time, maybe a full minute, maybe something WAY more ridiculous, like an hour - either way, they could slowly work their way up, gradually getting faster and faster the more they complete the servers. It'd mean a LOT of cash, if you do it right.

Here is another tip for the day! The backpack is very important if you ever wanna go exploring. It can fit pretty much every tool you can buy within it. Never wanna leave home without a crowbar, but need carrying weight for garbage you wanna sell, or to carry MRE's back home? Whatever it may be, put your tools within your backpack, and save your carrying weight for whatever you may find out there! Happy exploring~ You never know what you might find out there~

(+3)

You can also use these circular garbage bins as an alternative to a backpack, they fit 4 times more than a backpack and take only 303.4 volume, you can't equip them, but you can put one in your backpack, and you can put 4 of them inside 1 of them to create infinite space

(1 edit)

You can store in a backpack those items that can really be useful in a dangerous situation, like an "go bag", you can also attach several hooks to an ATV, you can attach a large box with balloons to an ATV (you will get a cart), a green trash can infinitely accommodating(This is supposed to be the case), with the help of a green trash can you can easily to transport bricks and more.

Wow. 1000 views on this one thread. I know it's not a big deal, but the more it gets viewed, the more I believe it is genuinely helping others. I promise to keep this thread going as long as I can, to help everyone I can. Once more, if you got any questions or want any tips, feel free to ask, and I encourage anyone to contribute. Thanks for allowing me to help others! :)

Hi. I have a problem with the game, as I understand it, the game sets the render to 0, and does not allow me to change anything by making the screen (Everywhere except the menu) Completely black. Is this some kind of file bug, or did the creator just put a virus for the Russians? (This is a joke, but if it is, then it's sad)

regenerate data.sav button in settings, it's a fairly common issue

I really didn't get it. I can't even finish training to start the main game, and therefore there's nothing to save. Either the translation is wrong

(+1)

in the options of the game there is a button called "regenerate data.sav", as in create from fresh a new data file if that isn't translating right, not an actual game save file
it is on the "game" page of the options, the button is 3 up from the bottom of that page and just labelled "regenerate"

Спасибо, Ты мой герой!)  Сорян если тупанула по началу./Thank you, you are my hero!) I'm sorry if I was stupid at first.

О, кстати у меня тоже эта проблема появилась когда я поставил русификатор, не думал встретить тут русского :3

Thanks for your contribution to help. :)

Thank you very much, friend! I've been trying to fix it myself for 2 days, but it turns out everything is so simple. Thank you very much :3

(1 edit)

Hi! I have the following problem in the game: when I enter the game, ALL the game settings are set to 0 and when I change them and save them, the game resets them anyway. (Everything is fine now, the person above wrote how to solve this problem)

I'm glad this thread could help you. :)

Hi all. When i press the start button, the game restarts. In all modes except training.

How strange. This issue is new to me. Could you explain the situation a bit more?

I found a solution to this problem. Need to switch the language in the game settings :)

Oh, okay. Glad you got it figured out. :)

Daily tip time~! Do you still find yourself getting lost within the world, but wanna keep track of where specific locations are, like the Hole and other places? Try using Beacons from the shop! When activated and placed, they will pop open a compass at the bottom of your screen which will show red markers pointing in the direction you have put the beacon. This will lead you straight to where you wanna go with no tracking required.

You can also see these Beacons on your map, both scanner and the digital will see these markers, and usually show up in purple, if you've purchased the upgrade module to make different entities different colors and such.

So, you want to come back to a location, but aren't sure how to find it normally? Combine this tip with my backpack tip and you got yourself a way to track every location you may come across by accident.

It's time for another tip! This may be something most know about by now, but to those whom don't, I think it might just interest you. Are you finding yourself buying a lot of food? Well, if you follow the west side of the riverbank, you will eventually come across a big log in the river. Within that log is a secret barrel with tons of MRE in it. Enough to feed you for a long while, but alternatively, you can also sell all of them and get a BIG boost in money! I'm sure whomever left it there won't mind us taking their treasure~

How do I cook the potato? I sliced it open with the knife but it isn't cooking in the microwave and its steaming, how do I fully cook it so Kel won't be like "i dont wanna eat that"?

edit: found out you have to use the portable hot plate to cook it

Time for another tip! Have you crafted yourself an Omega Kerfur? Quite useful, aren't they? Well, as you may know, they can carry things for you, while following you. Ever brought them along on your journeys? Well, you can do a lot of interesting things with his carry feature. Perhaps you'd like him to carry a light for you, like a lantern? Or perhaps you might do something to entertain you on-the-go, like have them carry a radio, or TV, so your adventure is never boring. Omega Kerfur is more than just a workaholic~
