My Name is Alrik.

I am a professional Software Engineer, Product Owner, and Project Manager based in Magdeburg, Germany, for roughly ten years.

Having recently completed a successful eCommerce project, I’m embarking on a new endeavor.

My next venture involves developing a game, and I plan to document its progress through a weekly DevLog starting this Sunday for the upcoming weeks.

Here are some key details about the game: it’s an economic simulation designed for desktop platforms, set in the 16th-century Hanseatic League around the Baltic Sea region. I’ll be utilizing the Godot framework for its development.

I’m strongly considering delving into pixel art as a primary aesthetic direction, though I’m keeping my options wide open.

My challenges:

  • I’m navigating with intermediate proficiency in the engine, which keeps things exciting 😊
  • My skills in the realm of graphics are rather modest.
I’m currently on the lookout for potential collaborators in this area.

As for a road-map, I’m still in the process of mapping out when and what milestones to aim for in terms of completion.

It’s all a part of the thrilling journey!

Till next week :)

PS: I may not be a marketing guru, but I’m on a journey of learning and growth in that realm.
