I defeated the lake lady and Lauren told me to meet her at the service elevator but when i go there she isnt there , am I supposed to do something else before being able to meet her? Also when I tap on the 'shop' option at the surf shop, nothing happens, is there supposed to be a shop popup??

This is the same problem I'm having. I  still haven't figured it out so I've sort of stopped playing. (If you find some solution please get in touch with me!) 

As for the surf shop, I think that's a feature of the game. I've experienced it before with other games with the shop being unavailable until you further complete the story, something about "the shop owner needing to go out and collect materials."

she wasn't in the elevator for me but I carried on thinking it was normal,I ended up at the night market and the story continued normal again for me
