When Should You Post Your Game on Itch, Patreon, etc?

This might be a little longer than normal but I've already made an AVN. I started it in 2018 and it's for a small private group because of the topic matter that is in the novel.

But it has seem to really take off in the group and they all love the rapping I did "not very well either in MY opinion, but most love the message." The rapping is from the MC has a goal to be a rapper but is also being trained by his dad to be the heir to the family fortune "about 14 billion." He has two sisters also, one still in college.

But I have decided to make a public version of the novel, just tamed down a lot, and that's how I found out about the AVN community. Played about 8-10 other AVN's to get an idea of what others are putting out compared to my skills "solo developer, I do everything; modeling, animation, sound effects, music, etc"

But I'm wondering when would be an appropriate time to post the game on Itch and Patreon to get it out there? I assume you can post one that's in development to get supports because I'm sure everyone would want to see something. But at what point? After 3 chapters, 4 or 6?

Just want to make sure. There will be a FREE version for the first 3 or 4 chapters. This is a multiple plot path game. At certain points in the game the choices you make will take you down a totally different plot and events and maybe even new characters, etc. EVERYTHING depends on your choices at key points in the game.

So any opinions?
