Have you touched the game files? or atleast have mods enabled? if yes, try again without them.
if you are still getting errors then just join the discord and report your bug there, make sure to give a Save file and a way to replicate it.
Your error is likely valid because "chcg3_head_PiercingEar2_low.png" really doesn't exist.
No file edits, no mods enabled. The only thing I've done is copy chcg3_head_PiercingEar_low.png (which looks like it should actually have been chcg3_head_PiercingEar2_low.png based on chcg3_head_PiercingEar1_low.png & chcg3_head_PiercingEar3_low.png) & name the copy chcg3_head_PiercingEar2_low.png. This has, understandably, seemed to fix the issue.
