I have a weird issue, where the zip file for Windows just gets immediatly deleted from my computer as soon as it has finished downloading. It doesn't matter if I downloaded the beta version or the full version. Please help me 😭

That probably means that your antivirus gets upset about it (and why’s that? No idea - the actual .exe didn’t change in a year if not longer) - you could either create an exception or compile it from source code

I just have another problem now... when I click on "Open dialect directory", nothing happens. Do I have to own the game I want to mod (Rivals of Aether) for it to open ?

You could try navigating there manually - the path is %APPDATA%\AceGM\GMEdit\api and GMEdit should create the folder on startup if it doesn’t exist yet.
