I like browsing the game assets category. I am tired of seeing garbage AI art in there. I would like to be able to block certain tags from all my searches, similar to how Steam handles this.

I definitely agree with this! too bad itch stopped caring years ago

Technically itch has a workaround

There is a sticky about multiple tag exclusion. But people complain about horror games there, mostly.    I think it is hard to integrate into the existing framework. You know how the url looks for 3 added tags you search for?  Imagine the same url with 7 negative tags  also added.

That you could exclude tags on steam I never noticed before. But those tags are not dev chosen, so they are worth more.

Being able to block tags globally would improve browsing dramatically, especially for those of us tired of seeing irrelevant or low-quality content like spammy AI assets. Steam handles this well, and itch.io should too. I apply the same principle in my marketing stack—Phonexa lets me filter out junk leads early so I can focus on high-quality signals.
