Hello all you wonderfull people!
I created a RPG rule set called 'Roll Doubles and Die' and this is where I attempt to convince you to play it!
Still a WIP I am hoping to finish it in the next 4 weeks.
The core concept of the game is to get players into the story as quickly as possible for fast pace and off the wall ACTION. You can use the rules for any genra with as little prep time as possible.
The TLDR version:
You have advantages and disadvantages. For every skill check the GM gives you a target number. You roll 1d20 +1d8 per advantage -1d6 per disadvantage.
Sometime the GM rolls 1d20 per level of narative danger for enemies, complete with their own advantages and dissadvantages.
Every advantage dice you roll adds +1 Surge (Damage or Progress) towards completing longer projects or reducing enemy Resolve (mental and physical HP)
If you fail, you take a disadvantage. If you fail combat you take a wound or sacrifice one of your advantages for the remainder of the battle.
Wounds give you a special Disadvantage that effects all your rolls.
At any time you can roll 1-5d20s to accomplish impossible feats. Times the number of surges rolled by the d20s you rolled.
But becarefull because the game isn't called 'Roll Doubles and Die' for nothing. If any of your d20's roll a double, you take a disadvantage or wound equal to the number of d20's you rolled.
Advantages and dissadvantages don't have a consiquence for doubles but wounds will increase by 1 everytime they roll doubles.
And if you ever roll less than 0... Then you die.
And that's it. That is the core gameplay. The finish rule book will have additional rules and fancy art work but right now what I need most is feed back from you wonderfull people so I can know how easy it is to make your own games with it.
