[Art] Looking for a Retro / Gameboy artist for an early-stage project

Hi!

I'm Bernie and I'm currently working on a litte puzzle-y colony-building game. I am a big fan of old-school Gameboy games and the sometimes beautiful art-styles these rather harsh constraints developed. As my specialty is software development with just a passable skill in pixel art, I am looking for someone who would be interested in creating in-game assets in the style (roughly following the graphical constraints) of the Gameboy Color!

About the game: Place buildings, manage and make your colonists happy, and create a great village! You are not god, however, instead you are an old logistics robot that was waken up from slumber, having to remember a few things before building back up in a dried up and toxic world. In short, a colony-sim through the eyes (and controls) of a hero character.

I am working on the concept, game design, and the fundamental software decisions of it for a few months now, on the side, as a hobby. While I can't really offer you anything right now, I am taking this project seriously. Giving credits is the absolute minimum and if some longer more serious coop should develop, I'm open to any option, I will not leave you in the sand. Let's talk!

Who am I, anyway? I'm a professional game programmer from Vienna, Austria, working on games in the Unreal Engine (mostly in the real-life simulation genre). On the side, I created the game Villager (free to play, try it!), which now feels a bit like a prototype to what I'm working on with this.

So, should any of this sound interesting to you, shoot me an email at bluezfeeling@gmail.com, or tell me your discord id here and I'll message you! I would love to hear from you :)
