I'm new to game jams and I have no clue where to start

Hi! I'm Dizzy and I recently graduated with a degree in Music Production. I want to pursue work in sound design and music composition for game and film. The advice I was given constantly was to join game jams. But, I have no idea how to start. I don't know what site to use or what communities to be a part of. I am looking for any team that needs sound design or music as I won't be able to join a game jam alone, since I'm not a game developer. Can anyone here help me and give me some advice on how I can get started?

P.S. This is my portfolio, albeit very limited. Thanks !

The simplest thing is to look for a JAM that is about to start and offer your services as a musician.

You have 2 options.

The help wanted subforum  where you can offer or search for people who are requesting musicians. However, this is for general use, not related to any JAM.

The other option is that you review each JAM that interests you, when you enter the page of a JAM, you will see a tab that says "community", where you can write to offer your services as a musician. You must do this for each JAM in which you are interested in participating.

Many JAMs also offer a discord channel for people to communicate and there again, you can offer your services as a musician.

Thank you so much! I will start on this right away!
