Ultimate Door Logic is too complicated

There's seriously just way too much going on in the finale level. I get that that's supposed to be the point, but it goes way too far, to the point where I don't even want to bother trying to solve it. The puzzle doesn't really seem to have much cohesion; instead of having a singular clear goal or a clear progression, there's multiple intermediate goals alongside multiple final goals alongside a clear need for backtracking at some point. Also, master key usage is unrestricted, which makes everything 100 times worse. It becomes impossible to tell if you made a mistake or just need to use a master key to reach the next area and then come back, and being unable to tell what moves are wrong or not means you can't really solve it with logic. It makes me feel like it would be easier to write a program to brute force it than to solve it normally, not that I want to do either.

It's true that there is a lot going on, and you are given an overwhelming number of options. I suggest breaking it down by color. Specifically, all of the colors in the forced(!) chain of doors at the very end have more interesting logic than initially meets the eye. It's a little harder to construct a clear picture of the other colors, as well as where certain Master Keys are used, but I believe it generally becomes something reasonable once you've understood the other constraints well enough. If you aren't going to attempt the puzzle anymore, though, then that's OK. Thanks for playing the rest of the game up until now!

Thanks for the hint. I was confused if this is meant to be done but based on you message, it reminded me that the game is less so about going from beginning and then finding and ending and more about how much can you enjoy this one game, even if you become sick of it and want pick all the locks away to find the ending. It makes sense when I think of it that way. Besides, there is always the other worlds so I can do those instead.

Now beating it over a year later. I see what you mean. Been a while sense I have seen your tip so I got to discover it for myself.

I had to take a screenshot and print the level out. Then I crossed off doors and keys depending on what I had to do or not do with them. There are a lot of forced colors. And secretly, master key usage is VERY restricted. A door out of place and I couldn't win. Figure out the master keys.
