I am writing to bring to your attention a recent comment that was made on my game page on itch.io. The comment, made by user [Futanahri], accuses my game of being a scam and implies that I am using the content of others without permission. I would like to assure you that this is not the case. My game is a remake of a previously existing game and I have made sure to obtain all necessary permissions and licenses before publishing it on itch.io.

I understand that this individual may have reported my game, and I want to make sure that the issue is resolved quickly and fairly. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Thank you for your time and attention.

you clearly did not obtain the neccessary permissions before publishing

Thank you for your comment, Street. I would like to assure you and anyone else who may have concerns that my game was created entirely by me, using legally obtained resources and assets. I understand that there may be some confusion due to the fact that my game is a remake of a previously existing game, but I have taken great care to ensure that I have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses before publishing it on itch.io. If you have any specific concerns or questions about the origin of any content in my game, please feel free to reach out to me directly and I will do my best to address them. Thank you.

Clarify that I do not accuse you of anything, I do not know your game and much less the original of which you speak.

But looking at the page of your game, it seems to me that it is a fangame based on the game WOW from Blizzard company.

I doubt very much that you have been able to get a response from Blizzard company for an NSFW game with their characters.

When you claim that you have all the permissions, it really raises a red flag.

EDIT:  I'm not accusing you, I just find it hard to believe that a company like blizzard would license an IP like WOW for an NSFW game.

On the other hand, how many games here in itch feature nintendo game characters or famous anime characters. I guess if games are removed just because of that, itch will be at least 10% smaller. (I know you're not accusing, I'm just raising this as a honest question)

nvm, It seems the dev is charging for the game...

Thank you for your feedback and for expressing your concerns. I completely understand your doubts regarding the use of Blizzard's IP for an NSFW game. However, I'd like to clarify that my game is not a fangame nor is it based on World of Warcraft. My character may have some similarities to a character in the game, but it is not an exact replica, and the storyline is completely different.

I want to assure you that I have taken every necessary step to ensure that my game is in full compliance with all copyright laws and policies. I have consulted with legal experts to ensure that my game does not infringe on any intellectual property rights, and I have obtained all necessary permissions for the use of any existing material in my game.

Furthermore, my game is a completely original concept with unique characters, storylines, and gameplay mechanics. I have put a lot of time and effort into making sure that my game is a high-quality, entertaining experience for players.

I hope that this information helps to alleviate your concerns and clarifies any misunderstandings. I take intellectual property rights very seriously and I would never knowingly produce something that infringes on another company's rights. Thank you for bringing up these concerns, and please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thanks for your answer.

I understand that it will be a kind of parody, like when they make a porn movie of some character and that the resemblance will be precisely for that reason.

At first glance it seems more like the original resources, but I am not an expert on this subject to be able to affirm or deny it.

Thanks for your answer and good luck with the game.

Thank you for your response and understanding. I can see how my game may have similarities to characters from World of Warcraft, but I assure you that my game is not a fangame or based on any existing IP. The similarities are intentional as a form of parody, but the characters and storyline are unique and completely original.
