Hi, my name is Adam and I’m the Project Manager & Developer of our game. We are using Unreal Engine 4 for this project. We already have a Pre-alpha Demo and a video about the demo. We already created the complicated systems, so it's time to add art to the game.
About the game:
Our game is a Realistic Survival Simulator with Multi Co-op Support. The project’s name is Seasons. It takes place in Alaska. The main difficulty of the player is the environment:
- Detailed Status System with different illnesses
- Realistic AI System (only animal AIs)
- Dynamic Season/Weather System with Temperature simulation
For now, a maximum of 4-6 players will be able to play the game in one lobby. This number will probably change later, when we have more parts of the game done.
Task & Requirements
Art Lead[Not needed anymore]:
Experience and knowledge in art-related tools inside the engine, creating and optimizing heavy and complex materials, post-processing. Have knowledge with 3D modelling/texturing softwares, so you can work together with the modelers too. You are going to work with open-world scene, so have experience with sunlight, clouds, sun, dynamic shadows, foliages, etc.
Animal Modeler[Not needed anymore]:
Be able to create the animals this game is going to have. Since it takes place in Alaska, we will mostly have animals living there. So e.g. different type of bears, wolves, Moose, fish, birds, etc. It's a good thing if you have experince rigging or animating these models.
Animal Animator[Not needed anymore]:
Be able to create realistic animations for 4-legged animals, fish and birds. We will both need in-place (walk, sneak, trot, run) and root-motion(jump attack) animations, but mostly in-place.
Prop Modeler[Not needed anymore]:
Be able to model tools/weapons out of wood and stone, fruits, plants, etc. We will mostly have primitive items that can be found or made in Alaska.
Art-Style: Realistic
Our Team:
We are a team of 6 people. 3 Programmer/Developer, 1 Animator, 1 Composer and 1 Business Manager.
Split %:
We are planning to sell the game on Steam and we are going to share the revenue. The more you do for the game, the bigger your share will be, but there is a base share for everyone. But we will talk about this more once every new member is joined.
Length:
If we can gather enough artist, then the goal is to release the first Trailer in summer/fall. If everything goes right, we can release the first version by the end of the year.
