Game saves

I just downloaded and installed Augur and love it so far.  I also installed the app to run off of my desktop.  My question is where are all of the games that we create saved?  Are these only saved in the cloud?  If so, how much space is there available? Can assets and games be saved offline at all?  Is it necessary to expand cloud storage to create more games?

Hello and thanks for purchasing the augur!! Once you buy it you have two options to run the game, the first and best option is to run it from https://theaugur.app/ as it's the latest version with a ton of features, this can also be downloaded to your device as a "web app". There you will have to create an account and it will validate your itch.io purchase (automatically if you use the same email) and you will be able to play from any device and from anywhere, you can play on your pc and then continue right where you left off in your phone or tablet. Save games don't consume space, you can have as many games as you want. Using any of the included assets (maps, portraits and such) does not consume space either.

Uploading your own assets (maps, portraits and such) DOES consume space, however, it's very unlikely that you will ever reach the 250MB limit as the kind of files that you would upload (portraits, maps, avatars) are usually under 1MB. If your images are heavy I recommend using an image compression website such as https://www.iloveimg.com/compress-image before adding them. In the unlikely case you run out of space you can get more space by subscribing to the Augur's Patreon... again I am certain that for the large majority of users this is not necessary.

The second option to run the augur is to use the "legacy" version that you can also download once you buy, this is an older version of The Augur that was not online and only worked on desktop computers. It lacks many of the features that the latest online version has. I do not recommend using it, I only left it there for people who were playing that version when I made the switch to the newest one that's always online.

I wanted the augur to be as hassle-free as possible, so you don't really have to worry about save files or saving your progress. It's all handled for you and wherever you play you will have access to all your games and assets.
