Recommended Viewport Dimensions for Twine Games?

Hello! I have a Twine game and I'm trying to find the right viewport dimensions for it. It's currently set to 1280 x 720, which looks great on computers, but when I view the page on my phone the game takes up the entire screen . It won't let me scroll down either.  When I make the dimensions smaller it just adds an ugly scrollbar to the game on my computer; there's no change on my phone.

What's the ideal size that looks good on both computer and phone screens?

EDIT: I should have specified that I have an iPhone 7. I don't have any other devices to test my game on, other than my iPad (which plays it fine).

HTML5 games (including twines) loaded on phones will always launch full screen. If you've checked the "mobile friendly" option then the game will take the resolution of the phone when launched. The resolution you specify will only be used when embedded on desktop.

Thank you!! But I've set my game to mobile friendly, and I still can't scroll down. :/ I've tried playing on Chrome and Safari.

Leafo, this is interesting.  Because when I first published my HTML5 games months back on itch they allowed scaling etc on my smart phone(Galaxy s7). Almost, as if viewing it on a PC.   Is this something that itch.io is enforcing or is it the Android version of Chrome or Firefox deciding for the HTML5 format via the OS on smart phones.

I admit, I've been busy and haven't kept up with the latest changes to the HTML5 format in past 3 months.  Especially, with smaller devices...

Thanx
