I have a 10 MBPS internet connection. I get a stable 1.5 Mb/s steam download speed but when it comes it Itch client the speed is always below 20 Kb/s it takes half an hour to download a small game. No other programs are running at the same time.
This sounds like a different issue than what the original poster is experiencing.
Could you share what regions you are downloading from? All of our downloads are processed through a CDN. I can forward the report to them and see if they are having any connectivity issues for certain regions.
I removed my message because it looks like in western europe, the servers are down late evening (I just installed the app and some games during afternoon) ??
Just a quick check, are you running any third-party virus scanning or firewall applications? If so, is it possible to try disabling them while downloading to see if ti has any effect.
