So I recently just purchased the downloadable version of Mutilate-a-doll 2. First of all when you go on the game on the web it says that the Mad2 download edition is out now! and it says below - All updates included, play offline and Better Performance. The performance is RIDICULOUSLY slower than the web version, tried on both executable and flash files. I am mostly disappointed with the fact that it is almost unplayable when I load one of my saves from the web version that doesn't have barely anything on the map, so that wouldn't be what is causing the lag. Also because I cannot even load my custom items from the web version onto it and that I cannot even browse the user created files (I know that there isn't anything you can do about the last one). But this saddens me and I feel scammed out of $10.

I most likely will not be refunded but I really would like my money back. Thanks

You're the first one to report drastic performance issues, previously it's always been an improvement in performance, which is why it's mentioned in the in-game button on Kong.

There's no reason the local version should perform worse, it's the same build in all the ways that matter, bar a few non-performance-related differences (different main menu and some UI popps that reference Kong + no user content since it relies on Kong's API which is mentioned on the game page.)

* Did you try playing the game using the Flash Player projector? (see readme.txt for link.)

* Can you try changing the View mode to "100%" via Flash Player? The "Show All" mode upscales everything and impacts performance. (1) In the projector and exe versions you can use the View button in the FP top bar, (2) in browser flash you need to disable [MaD2 Settings -> Misc -> Enable RMB] and then untick Show All in the right click menu.

If the above suggestions don't help, I'm more than happy to refund you if you contact me (contact @ with your receipt.

The 100% view mode is too zoomed out and I am not used to playing like that

Additionally, you can transfer over your items between the versions, but it's a bit of manual work I'm afraid due to the way Flash Player sandboxes user data.

1) Find your Kong files folder:

2) Find your local files folder (same as Kong except replace "" with "localhost" i.e. ...\#SharedObjects\<Some sort of ID>\localhost\#orava\mutilate)<br>

3) Back up your local files to a different folder if you've made any changes locally (just in case you want to restore something later on.)

4) Copy whichever Kong files you want to the local folder, overwriting any existing ones.

(5) Restart the game if it was running.

Is there any way to add the saves and item saves onto the html download version?

Same process, just copy the approppriate files over.
