Tax withholding is incorrectly set to 30% despite the form saying 0%

Hi, yeah, as the title says my tax withholding rate is stuck at 30% despite the form itself after I fill it out and articles on itch.io website saying I should have 0% due to the country I live in. How can I fix this? I've filled the form twice, I'm certain it is correct because it says 0% during filling it and on the downloaded PDF at the end, yet itch.io itself says 30%. I'd like to fix it before I withdraw my current balance.

I emailed support about it on July 11th, but haven't heard back, so I thought I'd see if the community can help.

Thanks.

The seller settings page has been updated to not show the incorrect withholding rate during while tax information is pending validation. There’s also a new section on our docs that outlines the whole process here: https://itch.io/docs/creators/payments#tax-interview

Please reply to my post if you’re still seeing something on your account settings page that doesn’t make sense.

Thanks

Yes, that's a thing apparently, the correct tax will be applied once you get your first payout. People ask all the time because it's very confusing.

Oh okay, thank you! So I can just withdraw my money, then? And if it against odds ends up being withhold, is it possible to get that afterpaid later on?

Sorry, I'm not sure about that, please contact support for more details.

Hm, okay. I have contacted them, but it's been three weeks of silence since I did so, so I'm not sure I'll ever get a response.

That's a long time for this type of issue. I've let an admin know.

Thank you!
