hey, uh... could you give me the downloadable game please? i want to edit the stats.

Developer

what stats would you like to to edit? I could make it so you can do so.

(1 edit)

actually, i want to edit like giving me weapon or item at the start of the game so it coukd be more fun. But seeing how the sequence played out (i see the picture of that twine pictures, the last pictured), i'm afraid i could destroy the playability of the game.

But hey! It's been a long time though and i kind of forgot what i want to do at that time. And for the stats? I may want to edit them freely so i could at least see how the titles being described.

By the way, you still updating? It's been a month though, and making a game is kinda hard (i'm making one too), but i would love to see the continuation of the story.

Developer

ah gotcha, I was actually thinking about adding some cheats for people that don't want to grind so they can just play. May have to do that sometime.

I could do something that unlocks everything that has a requirement, then give the PC unlimited gold or something.

I am still working on it, was just a busy couple months lol.

ooooh okay, your game is pretty good by the way. i was trying to make a game using twine but it doesn't give me the same feeling of to what i imagined the game would be. probably because i was lacking imagination that time and using harlowe which give me limited things on what i can't do. i don't want to use sugarcube because it keep giving me headache everytime i want to use it 馃構馃構馃構. i also want to get the downloaded version to see how sugarcube works, you use sugarcube for the game right?

Developer

actually I use Harlowe lol. I'll see about making the next release downloadable.

oooh okay then, keep up the good work 馃檪馃檪馃檪

Two things. 1: Why have a specific age counter in addition to the body type section? The "X year old" would've fit right along with the teen/adult descriptors. 2: I noticed that both jackbunnies and goblins have a difficulty range of 1-6 despite goblins having the more valuable materials. Do you have plans on increasing encounter difficulty with future monsters, and if so how? The most likely I can think of would be 1-6 --> 2-7 --> 3-8 ect., but I could also see 1-7 --> 1-8 and 2-6 --> 3-6, as well as a mix.

Developer

The age counter thing is just to add flavor to some scenes, a personal preference really. It serves no real purpose.

I hadn't really thought of increasing the difficulty of encounters, but your suggestion is really good. I might implement something along those lines if I think it could work. It is not a bad Idea since the PC has gotten stronger as the game has developed while the monsters have stagnated.

For the town events I feel like there should be an option to try and gut the hobo in a combat encounter, and being caught should come with losing time as occurs with monster defeat. Perhaps the exploration allowance should be turned into a clock system for the whole map to accommodate the later.

Developer

Good ideas, noted and I will look at doing that with the next update.

First off, just wanna say I love your writing style, it's always paced and worded very well.

*One thing I've noticed is the lack of art, it's almost exclusively real photos, which I'm not sure why. Art would really work well with the fictional characters, like the goblins, jackbunnies etc, aswell as the dog and wolf. Not only would it be better, but it could describe the scene more vividly and accurately as I'm sure there are alot more drawings of goblins than real goblins in this world.

*Secondly, maybe a difference could be added when being defeated or surrendering, as both outcomes act as if you'd been defeated ("Your pathetic attempt saw you overpowered"). Changing that one line in the start would make a small but nice difference, whether it be eager surrender or hopeless surrender.

Developer

I can't draw (;_;) if i knew how i would use AI gen art but even that has a bad rep theses days. I can't afford to hire an artist haha.

Will look into the surrender and defeat idea, I think that does sound better as well.

I'm not referring to making your own art. Just finding H-art online, the same with the current irl clips and pictures

Developer

Not a bad thought. I will look into it.
