I love this simulator but there are a few things that IMHO would make it a killer-app!

I don't know if any of the following will ever be included in the future updates, but I throw my 2 cents:

  • LoS sound in FPV view: this would raise the realism of the simulator, as in real life pilots could fly FPV while hearing the quad in the distance, from their fixed position.
  • Limited flight time: unfortunately batteries don't last forever... so simulating a LiPo discharge and, maybe, a LVC buzzer would be great!
  • Import/Export quad settings: possibility to import/export various quad settings as "presets" or maybe (better) as text/cfg files... so pilots could be able to share them.
  • More tracks: this, absolutely THIS... actual tracks are cool but it lacks some "classic" race/fun maps as indoor, park, high buildings and flags&gates tracks. Maybe one abandoned place to fly like Charpu! ;)
  • Save/play replays: a "VCR like" system to record and replay (maybe in slow motion) our flights with the possibility to change cam on the fly.
  • Fixed cams: more camera views like "gates cam" or "tower cam", cool if used in conjunction with the VCR.
  • OSD: battery voltage, flight time, etc...

You have a lot of good suggestions there. I am adding them to my long list.

LoS sound in FPV view and more tracks (escpecially an abandoned place) are pretty high up on my own priority/wishlist, so, well, we shall see!

Side by Side 3D for Fat Shark, please :)

Developer

I'm considering the possibility for Google Cardboard support on the android version.

Not sure if that same principle could be used for Fatshark SBS 3D though.

I just bought the recharged version. Awesome job!

To add to the wishlist I would like to throw in adding a few additional channels for switches. I just picked up a 6ch usb trainer and being able to practice switching between acro and stab which I think a lot of beginners tend to use as a setup.

Also, being able to switch from FPV to LOS to simulate a goggle failure and practice bringing it home LOS.

Anyway. Thanks, Rob.

Developer

Thanks, glad you like it!

Thank you for the suggestions.

You can actually do that already, at least sort of, and it will require some tinkering. You can map the keyboard shortcuts to a button/switch on your transmitter with a program such as this:

Thank you for your job. This game make me feel good when the weather is bad.

Ideas for improve the game are great too.

If possible, please increase the angle of the fpv camera about 65deg :)

Developer

It certainly possible. My guess is that a while after I raise it to 65 degrees, someone will ask me to raise it to 75 degrees...and so on :) People use such crazy high uptilt, soon we'll have people flying with 180 degrees :p

:) Sorry man, i talk about for recharged. I know, you've already done max 60deg in classic but i use i love recharged. So It does not matter to me 60 or 65 :p

Developer

Oh I see, yes, I will raise the maximum uptilt in Recharged too once I get around to updating it.

I would like to add one suggestion, if I may! I fly mode 1 - throttle and roll on the right stick, with pitch and yaw on the left stick. In the calibration screen, you have set up the instructions for mode 2 - you instruct the left stick up down calibration then link this to throttle. It's not a problem for me - I move the right stick instead, and everything works as I want, but maybe you want to emphasise the control being calibrated rather than the stick on the Tx. I realise I am in the minority (in the UK at least!), but I understand that there are other modes in use around the world which may have the same issue.

It's a great simulation, and this issue does not spoil the enjoyment of using it!

Developer

Yes, you are right that the control being calibrated might be what should be emphasised first of all, I'm adding that to my list of suggestions.

Thanks!

Save race times - both personal and public ones. I would like to track if I am getting better or staying the same without using a pencil (an old writing instrument) to track them.
