need help finding a game I played once and then forgot

this is killing me and I have no idea if anyone can help. I'm not even sure I'm looking in the right place. I played this game for free sometime in fall 2020, probably around September or October. it was an 8-bit pixel game, similar to the style of undertale but it wasn't undertale. I distinctly remember the color palette being only green in the first few stages, but there were later chapters with different themes—there was a part that I think was on a farm and I distinctly remember there were scribbled drawings on the ground. there was a chapter that was mostly purple–-had some monster elements, with huge dead/sleeping monster or serpents in the corners of the maps. there was also a section within a maze-type series of rooms, and I think different rooms had different organs? like a beating heart or like veins of blood that were huge? I believe the general theme of the game was being in a world that had been seized by darkness and you went through helping people and solving puzzles with the goal of saving it at the end. there might have been a specific quest with finding someone's wedding ring/lost ring in a blue-themed township part of it? I think as you journeyed through it ppl kept warning you not to go forward. there was definitely a township where you could visit a museum full of pixel art you collected—it had a rest place that would give you cookies I think? (I'm majorly worried my memories of this game are confused with another pixel game so lmk if u recognize some of what im talking about and not others). I'm almost 90% sure it was made in GB studio since that app was downloaded to my laptop in 2020 (game was so good it inspired me briefly to want to make one).

sorry I know this was a lot and you would expect that remembering this much, I might remember the name or anything conducive to finding it but this is what I've got :/ I've already looked for ages, not sure where else to turn. I thought this might have gone minor viral on Tumblr for the creator discussing the game(?) all g if no one can help lol
