Seeking Feedback for my Stable Platformer Game with Online Level Editor

In one year, I've added a level editor and made improvements such as fullscreen mode and the ability to share levels online with the community

Why hasn't anyone else posted here in over a year??? There's lots of feedback to give...

This game is wacky and super fun! It's one of those games you can just sort of... play without having to do much thinking or memorizing. It's silly and weird and I like it, it has cool music, pixel art, and level design. The sound effects are hilarious (the boxing gloves lol)  and sometimes remind me of memes and pop culture. The only minor complaints I have is that sometimes there's quite a bit going on in the transitions scenes, and the name of the level kind of spoils what you have to do to solve the puzzle. 

The level editor is a nice touch, and the community options are a great way to show off high scores and compete with others. Kind of reminds me of the Super Mario Maker games. And congrats on adding all of that in a whole year!

 It's always a challenge to gather input, but it's the best way to enhance the player experience. Do you find it easy to get people to test yours?

I had put the level names with hints to help with understanding each level, introducing a new mechanic with each one. 

I'm going to integrate a character to provide guidance if the player gets stuck on a level or objective, and immediately stop any potential spoilers !!!

Ah, I see with the level naming thing. It's really good that you switch up the mechanics to keep the gameplay fresh, well done! The guidance character seems like a fun idea, I'm picturing them with a funny personality that the player can get a kick out of.

I find it rather difficult to find people. I don't mind reaching out to the community and putting it out there, but I realized a while ago that my games won't get any players if I don't put in the effort to find them. So the method I'm using now that works pretty well, is giving back to awesome devs like you by giving all the feedback I can! That way I get to play some really fun games, while also learning the ins and outs of promotion and player-dev relationships :D

And thanks so much for playing Grass Elemental, glad you enjoyed! There are two different endings based on the move you used in the fight, and some new dialogue upon a second playthrough...

 Lately, I haven't had much free time, so I dedicated it to finishing this important update. 

Trying out your game was a pleasant surprise, and I'm inclined to adopt your approach! 

The community offers some wonderful surprises!

So far in Grass Elemental, I've encountered several different endings and game overs. I really appreciate the unexpected twists, as it piqued my curiosity and got me thinking.

 It's good news if there are still many more things for me to discover!
