This is the story of Ian Young, a man of scarred memory and hurting heart, but of deep poetic intuition and strong desire. These have clashed within him for so long, and we enter the story whenever this conflict has all but been put to sleep. What follows is the story of his  awakening. It is a short (four or five hour) and yet profound and focused story, told in the form of interactive fiction or a visual novel. In this medium, we are taken on a journey through the twisting labyrinths of the heart, where are gathered together, from the fragments of memory, the shards of eternity present in the midst of time, and in this encountered the offer of healing and newness of life.

Shards of Eternity: Metanoia is a piece of interactive fiction, story-driven and contemplative in pace, which should take between four and five hours to complete. It is built with an artistic combination of pixel-art, tradition 32-bit gameplay, high resolution photographic scenery, and beautiful music, all ordained to tell a deeply moving and significant story.

Though the story can stand alone in its own right, two sequels or accompanying pieces will follow in short order, so stay tuned for those if you like what is presented here.
