how did the game devs arrive at 7 total guesses/tries to get 7 word?
noted - but you’re guessing two different words, it’s not like the words are anagrams of each other where they both use the same letters, they’re completely different words. Maybe I’m just still new/novice player, I could benefit from more guesses BUT that’s just a comment from me. Cool game nonetheless!!! :)
7 guesses seem about right for me. BTW, this is the best variation I've seen on the wordle engine. My thanks to the developers. For someone who might want another pretty good variation you might try "hello wordle", the basic wordle format but the player can expand the number of letters in the hidden word to 6 or more.
