I love it, got to around level 18 so far, very playable, its very atmospheric! The level design is so varied and the audio is wonderful. I did a small video about it,  i hope you don't mind!

I just wanted to shout out a big thank you. I will check the full video later this evening and wll write you of course a detailed reply!

Hello! Thanks for the message, and the game too!  Don't feel the need to write anymore, I hope I do it justice and encourage some others to play it!

Hay,

Of course I will take the time to watch it. Honestly I have to say I liked the beat in the background you put in there. It had quite a Akira Yamaoka-feeling to it.

Really cool presentation! You showed the game but did not show everything. I know we are not talking shakespeare or the next big RPG here, but I think I started some interesting ideas here and there, but I am not sure if being more precisely would summarise or destroy the atmosphere. Thanks for mentioning it: I also think, that the game is easily accessable, and  playtime will be about an hour. I probably should write a bit more information around the game.

May I share this and possible other videos of D.O.A.S. from you f.e. on dA, tumblr, etc.?

Btw do you know any indie web platforms that might take a look at D.O.A.S. I know it’s very niche.  But asking never kills (hopefully).

Thanks for playing the Department I hope you will also enjoy the rest of the journey.

And hopefully no one from Manchester will see this video!!!

All the best,
badkat

Hello! Thanks for the message, i'm glad you liked the video, i hoped to give people a taste of it without showing too much. The music is made by my brother actually, i put it in all my videos. Feel free to share away with the video i hope it gets you some downloads. I'm unsure about other platforms, do you use twitter at all? I find its a great community for indie gamers and game developers, maybe its worth asking on there? I think you've got a great game and am sure others will love it to when they come across it

My other half is from Manchester :) Thats why i said it, its the small things...

Thanks! I never used twitter to be honest. I will use "I am old" as an excuse, which never works.

Ok, so I will will try my luck and hopefully D.O.A.S. will gain a bit more attention! Btw also your voice matched perfectly to the mood and the music of the clip - very well mastered!

And I am deeply sorry to say: You are in trouble now, and you know it.  :)

Am no spring chicken myself and have only really started using Twitter in this last year, I have always been pleasantly suprised by the communities on it and people looking to spread the word about indie games. Give it a go! Thanks for all the good things you have said, in truth my daughter moved my mic about 30cm during a pause in the recording, i didn't notice and so you get a change in the quality of my voice after a minute or two, could have kicked myself!

...and I'm always in trouble ;)

I started a twitter account and will now search the vastnesses of the internet for the right places to promote D.O.A.S.  I did not realise how much time goes to promoting, and getting to the people! There is just too little time beside my job.

Yeah, I noticed the change in your voice and wanted to ask. It's a pity  but not too bad I guess.

"always in trouble" good to hear that :D
