Here is a code block I'm typing:

This line is followed by two blank lines
This line is followed by one blank line
This line has no blank lines after it
And this is the last line

As you can see, the blank lines get lost on save.

FYI: I'm using Edge on Windows, in case this issue is somehow related to Windows line endings.
