We've all been on that loooong car ride when we were little. One that is soooo loooong and soooo boring, we even exhausted all our options to have fun. Maybe played some "I spy" with our parents, maybe even some "License Plate" games but then they got bored and stopped playing.
We asked if we were there yet and we weren't, sometime later we asked again and we weren't, and another time the answer was still no, then they even stopped answering...
We were by ourselves nothing to do but to watch the outside.
Trees, traffic signs, cars, and birds passed by and brought the idea of a game that we can play by ourselves. Our fingers became a runner and those objects were the obstacles, we jumped over and ducked under them.
We never stumbled upon any of them, we never knew what would happen if we did. We were scared of that moment, we were scared of what would happen.
I hope you never learn what happens after you hit one of those objects but I did. A small mistake for the runner but a big one for my hand.
