First thing you need to know is, back when the communists (CCP) isn't a thing, Republic of China (Taiwan nowadays) used to rule the whole of China, with a democratic government in 1912. There were general elections back then in China.

As you can see, KMT flags were decorated on the Forbidden Palace, or the Tiananmen Square.

The very first Olympic athlete who represented China in the Olympic games, Liu ChangChun, was competing under KMT flag ( AKA Taiwan flag) for China.

Then everything changed when the CCP denied all forms of democratic process and started their attack on Republic of China.

The Civil war between KMT Republicans and the Communists, as known as Chinese Civil Wars has started (Year 1927).

CCP managed to gain ground during the WW2 Japanese invasion. 

The KMT Republicans being defeated by the Communists in 1949, they retreated to Taiwan. 

After that, in order to eradicate the concept of democracy in Chinese culture, the communists tried to attack Taiwan twice in 1954 and 1958. But Republic of China (Taiwan) managed to hold to their ground to this day. Forming a geopolitical situation similar to North Korea vs South Korea.

As a result, more than 70 years have passed, China under CCP rule became a repressive police state that mass prosecutes anyone who doesn't stand in their line of thought.

This is why, CCP, in order to destroy all forms of freedom of thought on Chinese culture, has attacked Hong Kong and their next target, Taiwan. So that CCP is able to officially establish a Nazi-like rule on China.

Within the Great Firewall of China, since internet users aren't allowed to use social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. They use Weibo instead, a social media platform that is heavily regulated by fascist CCP.

In Weibo, all posts about CCP politicians are censored, but other posts about foreign politicians are allowed.

For instance,

You can easily find posts about Obama in Weibo's search engine.

But, if you try to search posts about President Xi Jinping, or 习近平. Whether its in English or Chinese, no results will be omitted.

That's how CCP censorship works, they banned any online post about CCP politicians, so that there will be no criticisms against CCP online. Meanwhile, non-CCP leaders are allowed to be discussed on Weibo.

Because CCP wants internet users to ignore every single CCP wrongdoings on the internet, but encourages internet users to vent their anger to other countries instead. So that they can promote National Fascism among themselves.

For example, Weibo doesn't allow any discussions about CCP politicians, but they allow discussions and mass media reports about Taiwan President, Tsai Ing-Wen (蔡英文). Of course, only negative posts about Taiwan independence are allowed in Weibo.

Today, we gonna talk about Matsu Islands in Republic of China (aka Taiwan).

Matsu Islands, was named after the goddess in Chinese Folk Religion, Mazu, The Celestial Empress of the Chinese Pantheon. The picture above is the landmark Mazu statue on Matsu Islands.

Located at Northwest of Taiwan, it consists of four main islands. Nangan island, Beigan island, Dongyin island and Juguang island. 

Used to be a heavily militarized defense stronghold against CCP, these days it has become a famous tourist destination. It has the population of 13,000.

As you can see, the street views are gorgeous, Matsu islands is a fun place to travel around. 

Since the road is too cramped to drive comfortably, tourists are advised to travel around in scooters for maximum Taiwanese experience.

Breathtaking seaside view on Niujiao village, Nangan island. Hard to imagine this is used to be a place where ROC National Guards has to stay frosty about the possibilities of CCP launching naval assaults on the islands.

Beihai Tunnels, the mysterious enigmatic water tunnel that has a strong military past. It used to be a hidden spot for ROC military-use boats.

Qinbi Village on Beigan island, known as "The Mediterranean of Taiwan Straits"

Last but not least, the famous "Glowing Blue Tears" on the seaside of Matsu islands. It also can be seen in Beihai tunnel. These are bioluminescent planktons being washed ashore.

There are many other places that are fun to visit in Matsu islands, so if you are interested, you may get a plane ticket anytime soon.

They send warplanes every single day for at least a year now. 5 days of skipping their daily routine means pilots and maintenance crews finally got a short break from their 996 slave wage shifts lol

Either the poor weather in the Taiwan straits deterred them for five days, or they are preparing for a massive formation next few days or weeks. Calm before the storm.

I personally speculate CCP will start a massive incursion into Taiwan's ADIZ, with about 100 aircrafts when the Russian army deployed in East Ukraine starts to move westwards. Hope I will be wrong.

Meanwhile in China recently, unfortunately there was an earthquake in Sichuan with 6.8 magnitude. Sadly, there are about 60 people died during the disaster.

Due to zero covid policy, nobody is allowed to leave their houses to avoid getting injured by the afterquake. It was enforced by police forces in sanitary suits.

In order to defend the party interest, which is keep the Covid numbers low for their precious stock market, even residents have to be locked inside during earthquake, and firefighters have to waste their precious time on conducting covid tests.

I wonder if democratic systems like referendum and initiative exist in China, would CCP even dare to do these kinds of things?

Under Sun Yat Sen's ideology of democracy (Three Principles), he advocated China should adopt a democratic system better than European and American system, which he emphasizes that the system included election, recalling, initiative and referendum. And this system still actively practiced in Taiwan today.

Meanwhile in China, through intimidation and selective preference in the academia, his ideology has reinterpreted by the CCP to argue that the communist is a necessary conclusion of the Three Principles of the People and thus provide legitimacy for the communist government.
