Save and load template configurations

Would it be possible to save/load template configurations?

(I am not referring to the .ken template files).

For example, I have setup a character with the arms/body/face/colors I want to use on a regular basis. I close and open Kenney Studio. Later, I want to change the pose of the character, but keep all the other configuration the same.

It would save time having to reconfigure the character every time I open the program or work on another template.

Thanks!

This is absolutely a missing feature that I'd like to see in the future, I'll soon start experimenting with various ways to accomplish this. Added it to the development to-do board!

Hummm, I haven't bought it yet, but I thought I could already create my own templates.....

Edited: Without Adobe Animate!

Templates can be created using Adobe Animate, or anything else that can export an SWF file. This is about saving options set in a template though.

Oh, gotcha, I see that now. Sorry. I do agree though, even if I misunderstood, originally.

But Adobe Animate - not an option for me. I'll have to rely on your skills and templates for now, I guess (and what the community shares). I did find some freeware swf editors, though. If I ever want to try to create my own, I can use one of those.

The variation-on-a-theme templates is a great idea!

You can move my posts, if you want....

Ah no worries! I think Flex is free and would also do the trick (would love if someone could check that out, would obviously much rather recommend free software to create templates). http://www.adobe.com/nl/products/flex.html

Thanks, Kenney! Your tools have already helped our game a bunch. We appreciate all the recent updates.

For me this is the key missing feature. I've set many options for a particular template, and outputted the sprite, which all works fantastic. Then I return to the template, change the character style a lot (to be a secondary character), then output the sprite. Now I've decided that the first character needs different hair, how do I go back to that character without recreating him again from scratch?

Presumably this could just be a text file with a list of settings for each option, e.g. template/setting a-b-c-d-e/size etc?

Really hope you can add this, without it I feel like I need to get the character perfect first time.

But other than that, got to say, really love it!
