Sooo... New to the game... I can't save. Is that to be expected?

I play on Linux. Saves work fine for me.

Typical Linux. :D

When you say "can't save" what do you mean? The Save button doesn't work or a save file just isn't created? When you have the save panel up did you type in a new name?

who i create a save file?

When I click save, I get the dialogue but I can't do anything. There is no cursor. I can click save and it prompts for verification, but nothing happens, I assume because there is no file name entered. I'm not sure what the larger of the two inputs is for because there is nothing in it either. The buttons seem to work though.

Ok, new info. If I click in the smaller of the two boxes, I can enter text (apparently) but nothing shows up when I type. If I click save and then go to load, the save does show up and I can click it and load it, but there is no indication that I've selected anything. It also appears that I can name a save "{space}".

Oh, and in case it helps:

I don't get it. i set up the same ubuntu version and it runs like on windows, well time to delete it and let the Dev's be with you. *giggle*

In terminal (ctrl+alt+t):

Yep

all that ubuntu speak is all German to me.

So it is German to you? As German i can help... but just with that German part. :P

I know some German.  I play a few games with a group of guys from Germany.

Ok I've made a small change which might help the text show up in the name edit box. This will appear in Version 7 on Monday

Hey, Sorry. The text in the filename box still doesn't show, but the load and save screen are different now... :D

Developer

Yep, we put in a new system. So does that solve your problem? :)

The filename input still doesn't show anything.

Developer

but it allows you to type in it (invisibly)?
