I never really looked for the pixel horror games but still, they found me and at a certain point, I realized that I couldn't live without them anymore. The great thing about pixel horror is the fact that the visuals are simplistic and can easily be everything BUT scary. However, if done well, what is not shown will get conjured up in our minds and fill in the horrible, dark gaps.
Also: I realize that most of these are basically all point & click pixel games, they are just THAT good.
