My game shows outdated info on search result

Hi, it's been days I'm seeing this on browser's search.

I have update my game's info, instead of "in late 2019" it supposed to be "in late 2020", however upon searching, the browser give result of an outdated info of my game: https://roomahgaming.itch.io/moec

Will this get fixed automatically? Is it a bug? If it is, was it from itch.io part or I need to update something on my itch.io profile?

I have few running ads on internet, I don't want the audience to be misguided.

Please help, thanks!

Each search engine caches their results, so after the actual content is updated, it can take any amount of time for a search engine’s cache to be updated as well.

As far as I’m aware, Itch (or any other site) can’t do anything about this. I think some search engines allow you to ask them to refresh specific sites, but I’m not sure of the details.

For your specific case, I wouldn’t be too worried if I were you. As long as your actual page has the right information, you will be fine.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the information, I'm not too worried. I do think it will get refreshed. A lil bit worried if it doesn't, since I'm running ads, it might look unprofessional in this way assuming a curious viewer will search the game's title and the search result show the outdated info. It's been a week. Thanks though, I hope it will get refreshed soon!
