Game jams, are events that will required you to finish a game in a just a week or a month. The host will give you the topic on the game only when at the first day of the jam. Then after every submitted it in the required time, they will vote for the winner.

I would love to participate a game jam, but I don’t have time.

I propose an idea of competitions, that just required you to submit before the deadline, with no topic. You could submit any game that you have work on. For example, the event will have a deadline before 1st of February 12AM, then if I want to join the event, I submit my game the I worked for a really long time. The event can just have the same voting mechanic in game jams.

The pros of this:

- Can let people have a way to share their game that they’ve worked on it for a long time

-They don’t need few days spare out just to make a game.

-They can make high quality games, as in game jam there might not be enough time for making the game.

Please comment and consider this idea <3

I think there are game jams that allow you to submit a project that you started, but haven’t finished, when the game jam starts.

I recall there was one called “Finish your project” or something similar, that was hosted towards the end of the year, and had the description “Finally finish the project you were working all year”.

What is game jams that can do that? Any names? I actually want to try one day!

I think anyone can just start a game jam of their own.

Maybe you gotta make it happen!  :)
