Looking to feedback trade

Hey so I’m in the Indie Lift 2020 game jam and I was looking for people in the competition (or not, and just trade feedback) and trade feedback and rate each others games. Just playing other people’s games, giving feedback, and hope they play mine back has not been too successful thus far, so I’m looking to trade feedback. I totally love doing it, I just would love it if I could get some more feedback on my game as well!

My game is a  goofy adventure about escaping a cave, where every choice you make can impact the story. Check it out at snowinn.itch.io/escape-path-beta

Hey!  I'd love to trade feedback with you!

However, I see this is a 10-day old post and a game jam game.  Do you still need feedback?  Or is the jam over and done with now?

I’d still love to trade feedback ! Thanks!

Here you go!  If you got any questions, don't be afraid to ask!  :)

Here is the game I would like some feedback on!

Thanks so much ! I’ve been busy atm but I’ll check it out and review your game soon!

I just watched your feedback video ! You bring up a lot of good points. I’m definitely going to work on making the dialogue at the start less heavy. I’m thinking about how I want to move it around. You mentioned how is there a strategy you’re missing, but part of the game is just paying attention to the enemies, how they move and figuring out best way to lure them away from the exit. I could be more clear about what Z does, as that is a big part of the strategy.

The text that kept popping up about “They weren’t going to move anyway!” was a bug. I’m also going to work on not having to repeat text, as people have suggested that they want to be able to skip through text they’ve read before. Some text that’s core to the specific level will stay, but for example the barrels text could be said once and then not again.

You were so close to the end! The Boss fight was the last level in the demo. It gets pretty intense when you have the sword, with the monsters all moving every turn (instead of skipping one) and Boss Gart summoning more and more. But after you beat him, that’s the end and it tells you which path you took. You were only monster away from a genocide route, the ‘Chosen One’ path, but you didn’t kill one Geke in Level 24.

I’m glad you enjoyed the game, and I appreciate you putting so much effort into playing and reviewing it. I’ll do the same for you soon. :)

Hey I just downloaded your game and there’s only an exe so I can’t play it. I feel bad because you made a whole video and everything, so if you ever port it to Mac, let me know and I can test out the build. For first impressions, it looks really cool! Some people might be turned off by the art style but I really like it, it reminds me of Undertale. I really like the music and the gameplay shown in the trailer, it looks to be a very funny game to play. I’m excited to see how this project progresses !

It's okay man!  You didn't know!

I have never actually tried to make a mac version, but if I do I'll be sure to hit you to see if it works since I wouldn't be able to tell be myself as I have zero Mac computers!  xD

I’d be happy to test it for you ! :D
