As far as I can tell, you can't seem to advance Daisy any further than the her breaking the... vase or whatever it was, can't remember... without having her authority raised at least out of defiance. However, as far as I can tell you can't actually do so without using the 'mean' social abilities (punish, fear, ect.), since the ability to date her seems to be locked. Whilst I guess it doesn't really make a difference long term if you use the abilities on her so long as you don't overdo it, it doesn't make sense to me that you have to be mean in order to get her to eventually love you. Unless she's MEANT to be a masochist :) Is there some other way of getting her authority up?

You can use the Lust Relief skill to increase her authority. Of course her lust increases slowly. By the way, if you use Discord, the Discord channel is the bestway to report bugs abd ask questions. There is a clickable Discord icon on the Main menu page.
