tl;dr - You can help your friendly neighbourhood Brandon get to the 77th World Science Fiction Convention and represent FIYAH for its first Hugo Awards nomination!

I'm not just a fledgling game designer here on Itch—I also write science fiction and fantasy poetry and prose. I'm currently the poetry editor of FIYAH: A Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction, an outlet that promotes the brilliant science fiction and fantasy prose and verse being written by Black writers worldwide. I also record podcasts for The Skiffy and Fanty Show, including the Kamen Rider recap cast Righteous Kicks

Here's just a short list of stories, poetry, and essays I've written:

Both FIYAH and The Skiffy and Fanty Show have been nominated for Hugo Awards this year! It's a particularly big deal for the team over at FIYAH, which is in its third year of operation; this is our first Best Semiprozine Hugo nomination, and we see this as a monumental endorsement of the value of Black writers' voices in the genre.

This year's Hugos are being held at the 77th World Science Fiction Convention in Dublin, Ireland in mid-August. Not everyone on the team can try to make it to Worldcon, but I definitely want to carry the torch for the team and be present for the awards ceremony on their behalf. It also matters to me as a Black Caribbean writer to be present in fandom spaces like Worldcon, where often we tend to be invisible due to the difficulties of access. I want to be present, but travel is just a little bit harder for me, not only because of where I'm coming from but because of some sudden expenses that have knocked me down a bit a few months before.

In exchange for your help getting to Dublin in August, I offer this bundle of these small games at as much as 68% off their minimum prices. Any assistance you can give to help me pay for travel and other expenses would be greatly appreciated. Even sharing this link is a great help to me and my efforts!

Also, it definitely bears noting that the rest of the FIYAH team are also raising funds so they can meet up together for the very first time in person to watch and celebrate the Hugos together in Atlanta! They also deserve this opportunity to share this win, and if you give $20 or more, there's a wonderful FIYAH Thank You Kit in store for you!

Again, a thousand thanks for your assistance and support!
