Really funny game! I love the writing and the character designs. I wish my dialogue choices had a bit more impact on the outcome of what info I learned, but it was still fun to read the different responses! The ending got a great chuckle out of me!

Ah very unfortunate about the power outage :( I am not sure if the jam's admins are active... I would still love you try your game if you upload it to itch anyway!

This is so sweet! I adore the retro vibe, takes me back to classic racing games, and the shader really elevates it and perfectly conveys the idea that you're racing around the planet!

It's so satisfying to nail the hairpin turns and keep on zooming! And I love how you can hear the crowd cheer as you rush past them. I'm gonna go back and see if I can beat my best time 🏎️

Oh dear! So sorry for you losing all that progress 😭 thank you for playing our game for so long!

Fabled/legendary resources are definitely the big endgame grind, and the business bluebird was meant to help alleviate it a bit, but I implemented his quest wrong... I notice the quest only says he's going to reward you with 10 *fabulous* ore, when it should be 10 of each legendary resource... this was a problem I noticed like half an hour before the jam deadline, and I thought I uploaded a fixed build. He's totally scamming you in this build... my last minute change didn't make it in for some reason! Sadly I did not have time to playtest this change in full on itch before the deadline...😅 please forgive the bluebird's transgressions 🙏

There's a dedicated farming spot for each legendary resource at the "end" of each section of the world, with a lot of nodes near each other, so the ore one would be the best spot for grinding legendary ore (there's enough to gather forever without waiting for respawns). It does take a long time even still though, especially for a jam game; we fell a bit short on time in the end, and playtesting a full run took so long!

Once the jam voting is over, I'd love to revisit this project again 😁 especially to implement a proper ending for the dedicated players like you 😉 the silver lining is you didn't miss out on too much, aside from the satisfaction!

Thanks again and I'll be sure to check out your submission too!

Heheh, I thought it might be unintended to let me place so many buildings in the same spot. The menu still pops up for a split second when I move the character, so I clicked as fast as I could 😆

I love it! The aesthetic and the music are a perfect vibe and feel very reminiscent of the style. It's really fun to watch the tiny isle grow over time as I collect more stars. Definitely going to keep this one running on my screen for a while!

I love this ! It was really fun turning the planet around. Building my defences in positions that let me stay on the mine and get more gold was cool!

I think my planet is looking pretty well defended now 😇

Thank you! 🍀 I will be sure to play your game as well 🙂

The amorphous aesthetic was really cool! I think your page says "A" to attack, but eventually I figured out it was "X". I liked the different attack patterns from the different enemies and the feeling of the double jump 😁

So cute! Absolutely loved the exploring outwards and finding new things on the planet, and watching my friendly takeover grass grow.  The wraparound effect was super nifty. Also appreciated the free cheese!

Great start, and welcome to game dev! You did a good job :) Some additional clarity on what does what would go a long way, even if it's just notes on the itch page (I know how hard it is to get everything you'd like in before the jam deadline!) I wasn't too sure what to do to prevent my entire village getting slaughtered by the bear, but dragging things onto the field is working well and it's fun to watch my little guys roam around and gather the things I place for them :)

Edit: I had an idea, so I came back and made sure to lead my villagers away from the bear by placing materials near them, and managed to beat it 😉

The pixel art and vibe is so charming!

Super cute and super satisfying once the combos start popping!

I was a little lost at first, but eventually I figured it out and beat it! I loved the music, and it was satisfying once I started mapping out the tree in my head. I'd like to see a little more clarity, like an indicator on which floor I'm on, or a visual to let me know I'm able to climb to the next floor. I enjoyed figuring out where the branches overlapped and figuring out where to drop down to the previous floor. Well done!

I took the boss to negative 7700770 HP :D protecta protecta protecta protecta protecta hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyper firus hyperfirys hyper firyus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirus hyperfirys aaagh!!!

Incredible presentation 😊

Bang boom pow PUNCH! Once my wrist recovers I'll try and conquer it again.. (282)

Loved it! Such a cute and satisfying finale. Memorable mechanics and lovely art.

I encountered one bug (programming bug, that is) where when I licked a grapple point and an enemy moved in between during my travel, I got stuck there for a while, then my tongue was stuck and I couldn't use it again. But taking damage reset it and I was able to finish :)

Doesn't seem to load 😢

Fun desktop adventure! Don't worry, I destroyed 'em.

Super addicting! Managed to get to level 17 before I started to get a bit too funky with my designs. Great pick for the music too, didn't get old despite playing so long.

As a Punch Out fan, this is perfect! The art, sound, story (love the credits pic) and gameplay were all fantastic 😁

Fun little platformer :) I liked thinking outside the box

Oh I adore this, what a wonderful game. Visuals and sound design combined with some genuinely fun speed/puzzly gameplay, absolute delight.

I earned $2,000 in 69 days. I have a new respect for small business owners, how do they do it? I enjoyed getting into the flow of the mirror business and dealing with these demanding customers. Buy low sell high fr

So cool! Adore this project 💗

Hard seemed to run out of notes but I was enjoying the Touhou cover nontheless lmaoo

Tried again and it didn't freeze this time. I got C- on hard :)

Love the ideas here and the ragdolls as I hit enemies with basketballs hahah, great fun

"Owch!" Great fun and great art :)

Frugs4LIFE!

Very fun! Love the music choices lmao and my very goofy coworker. Pretty much exactly how it feels to work in hospitality.

I did it!!!

I gotta say, playing through the levels again, it's really clear how well thought out the level design and enemy placement is. I love how the game both rewards patience while learning and then rewards speed and confidence thanks to how the enemies load in/despawn accordingly. You introduce new level mechanics at the perfect pace and combine them in a masterful way to create a great challenge. I could definitely see myself beating this with five lives; I feel like this is the sort of game that really encourages growth in the player across the course of the game. I had such a good time playing this and I'm so glad I was able to beat it! I've uploaded my successful run as well as my second unsuccessful run beforehand. Thank you for the experience 🐦

Game over:

Happy end:

A great little bullet-inferno, I really like how the difficulty ramps up! Managed to get 20,634 points!

This game is authentically gorgeous - fantastic job! The effort put in was really worth it. I'm feeling nostalgia despite this being a new game. 👏👏👏

P.S. the listed controls for WASD2 on the itch page say K/L but it seems it's actually K/J.

This felt really unique! Nailed the vibe and aesthetics and was super enjoyable and memorable - great job!

Super awesome! Might be the best take on Snake I've seen, too. The sprites were beautiful and the game was very funny all round - love the dialogue in Far Sea Invaders!

100% authentic - if you told me you uploaded a long-lost NES ROM I'd believe you! Everything right down to the feel of the jumps is perfect. Those insects sound like they're screaming in agony for sure.

I think this is really neat and gave me those old-school vibes of venturing out into the world to see how far I could get before a game over. The attacks were satisfying and I thought the sprites were great!

Wish I could rate a 6 for NES Feel because this has the one thing a lot of great games in this jam are missing - ridiculous difficulty that can only be offset by a cheat code! By no means a negative - I found this game incredibly fun to play and would definitely make a hilarious stream game. "Flappy Bird if it was fun." Loved the sprites (especially Kuro's idle animation) . Never have I been so afraid of goofy cartoon ghosts! Genuine fear...

Tried my best to beat the game with the 30 lives code. And I'll be back to beat this game for sure!!
