Title says it all.

Does your mind stay "alive" and be transferred to the current clone when you die, or is it gone forever, but a copy of it still remains in the clone?

I think that would be very difficult, as a lot of the time with sword robots the swords fall directly on to you when they die, so it would be pointless killing them without a bow.
