release the version the pictures are from, with existing issues. make hotfixes for game breaking issues found by users. any missing features and minor bugs can be added and fixed respectively later.
so many solo developers get stuck in making it perfect before releasing they sit in development for years past the promised date. don't wait unless it's truly unplayable.
edit: don't update photos, add an update log of what has been added or fixed even if you don't release a version. going silent creates unwarranted suspicion
