This is great, enjoyed it a lot. It has a really fun and engaging gameplay loop and I love the theme.
Its a bit too hard imo
Had to play it a few times to beat it, but it was a great time!

This was super fun, I enjoyed all aspects of it a lot. It's a very refreshing entry to the jam.
While the visuals are basic, they work really well and I think the game looks great. The audio was good and fit the vibe as well. Both made for a pretty cool atmosphere.
I also liked the intro, got me hooked right away.
Managed to win with 310 years to spare doing a 0 project cost build with increased rarities.
Will probably play more of this later.
I think the biggest flaw is that it takes a bit of effort to figure out how to play it, but its well worth it.
I also had little reason to ever use the normal cards over investing in projects, but that might have been due to the build I went for.
Congrats on managing to finish such complex game and on executing it this well!
Thank you for playing and for the review!!
Yeah I agree, the movement could have been smoother. But I also didn't want to make the player too fast because of the timer, so I just left it as good enough.
As some others suggested, having a step based timer in combination with better movement could have worked better.
Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words!!
Yeah I can think of a lot of ways to improve and polish it, but I really didn't have enough time haha, I put in that ending 1 hour before the deadline. This is my first game and I had to do a lot of things for the first time so it was a challenge!
Also thank you for the suggestion, I'll take that into consideration if I end up working on an update after the jam.
About the step timer, idk, I considered that and thought it wouldn't work, but that's because I was thinking about it in the original scope I imagined and not in what the game became. This would probably be a great change and would make it much easier to balance.
Initially I imagined an even more ambitions version, with multiple levels, proper RPG leveling system, equipment and inventory, more enemy types, and all kinds of other stuff haha
Way too overscoped, I know. I never expected to actually deliver all that, I just thought, lets see how far I get and then I'll just build what I can out of the parts I have.
I LOVE the character designs!
Cool idea, very fun, but a bit frustrating at times. I had issues where I got pinned into a corner by enemies, but the gun bullet started behind their hitboxes so I died. Also the sniper was once up against the wall and I couldn't get above him which ruined my run.
Maybe some checkoints would have helped.
Great atmosphere! You really did a lot with little and it looks great. The gameplay is a bit clunky and confusing tho and I wasn't sure if I was hitting an enemy or not.
Also had the issue where the controls were triggering my browser shortcuts. I guess mainly ctrl is the problem there.
Still, pretty cool game, I haven't seen anything like it in this jam!
This is very impressive, great across the board and super polished for only 4 days.
My favorite game so far. I collected all the trash and it took me 1h 1m 24s.
It was super satisfying to get a huge pile of trash and then just push it all away with the broom. I enjoyed all the different tools and gadgets and the music was awesome, Garbage paradise was my favorite. The music being unlocked trough collectables was also something that I really enjoyed.
The only complaints that I have is that the trash should be a bit easier to dispose of. Sometimes it gets stuck, or flies past the garbage crusher so I had to touch the same trash multiple times. I also think that maybe the tools could have had a bit more durability and the scanned trash was hard to see at the end.
Also the geysers could have been a bit faster.
But those are all nitpicks aside of the trash dispensers. The acid lakes didn't have that issue so that was great.
But yeah, really great work!
I would love to play a more fleshed out steam release of this.
Thanks a lot for playing!
I'm really happy that somebody finally gave it a proper try!!
You are actually supposed to break the wall from the other side, you just need to bump it 2 times, just like you have to from the cracked side. As for the heart, there are 2 things that give you a hint on what to do with the heart.
First, inside the tunnel, if you pay attention, 1 enemy is too strong for you to beat, but you still do it. Why?
Second, the way the shield monsters have to be killed.
Some things could have definitely used a bit more polish and could have been telegraphed better, but unfortunately, that's all I had time for.
