It's time to remember your past...

Here's a good Youtuber if you're still learning Blender:

RyanKingArt

And do you use Unity? if so, I have a few useful Youtube channels I can direct you to.

Yo! I could've sworn this was on the Bigmode Game Jam! I saw Dunkey play it, it looked really cool!

I've started making my FNaF Fangame! So, I want you're Easter Egg ideas! And one of you will win! Who ever wins gets their easter egg added to my Game!

Oh, and after that, I will be making Sins of The Father! Or FNaF 2 and 1/2 as I like to refer to it.

Yeah, I am very excited! This is the best jam I've participated in so far! In fact, my project is complete! I'm going to post a release trailer to create some hype, after that I will post the game on it's specified date, Look forward to it!

Hey fellow jammers! We're one month in! How are your games going? Can't wait to see them all played in Charley's livestream! Good luck, and Happy Development!

Yo, this looks pretty cool! What's this game gonna be about?

Gosh, sounds like pure suffering, I hope you get back on it soon!

(1 edit)

Hey, I have a question, in the jam overview you said you'd be getting streamers to play our games? I know you are going to be streaming, but i'm curious on who else, if anyone else, will be playing our games so we can see their reactions too!

Thanks! I look at a LOT of horror material, and it seems to me that Teasers cause players to draw conclusions, and their ideas are scarier than any ideas you could ever have, FNaF is a good demonstration of this, the trailers are generally showing very little, thus, the fanbase theorize and get themselves nice and scared before they even play the game! But I think the mystery of what they will meet is the best scare-tactic.

After all, Man's greatest fear is the fear of the unknown.

Another teaser should be coming very soon...

My game is going great! I'm working hard to make sure everything is all that it can be! It should be done soon, I'm on the last "Chapter" as I refer to it, and then I've just gotta make credits, endings, and the UI! I'm working all alone as I prefer (I'm not very easy to work with). I can't wait to see what everyone thinks about it when i've finished! I must admit it's looking creepier then I imagined.

P.S: Are you making anything? If so, I wish you luck!

Here's some new ideas (I love making these up!):

Make a Game where dying effects the player more than having to restart. (e.g: You get different endings based on how many times you died)

Make a Game with multiple Endings.

Make a Monster that isn't evil. (e.g: Kissy Missy in Poppy Playtime 3)

Make the Player Question their allies. (E.g: Players aren't sure if their friend is really helping them, or if they're just manipulating them.)

Add an Easter Egg to your favorite Horror related Game/Book/Other.

Base your horror game on things that exist in real life! How can you make your reality scary?

Thanks!

Here are some challenges I think would be fun! I love these challenges so a few more is a welcome idea for me:

  1. Make a game where YOU unknowingly HELP the monster.
  2. Make a game where YOU BECOME THE MONSTER.
  3. Use creatures from Urban Legends as your monsters.

If you have any ideas PLEASE SHARE THEM! I think that if we have more challenges it makes the Jam more fun for experienced developers and newbies alike!

Thanks! I've just started it as a side project to FEAR, but a lot of the AI and code are the same, I just need to model and animate. And this jam is great! I've found it a fun learning experience, I love the challenges, I'm trying to do as many as I can. Also, that livestream sounds cool! i'll check it out :)

Oooh, I might actually make that, as a side project after I finish my main submission, I'll call it: SINS OF THE FATHER. Look forward to it!

SPOILER ALERT:

Another thought: What if you were unkowingly helping the big bad? Like Cassie in FNaF Ruin? She unknowingly released the Mimic when she went to the Ruins of the Pizzaplex to save her friend, If not, why don't we add a challenge like that? Why not add:

"Make a game where you accidently help the villian"

I'd say that would be rather fun! :)

Ah, so let's say, just for an example, you make a FNaF fangame where you play as William Afton (The man who caused everything) and you return to the Pizzeria and destroy the Animatronics (Good Guys) they ARE attacking you, but you are the villian? Because you made them like they are? You are facing your creations?

I have a question about one of the challenges: "Make a game where you are the monster". Do you have to make 100% of the game make the player play as the monster, or is there a minimum amount of time you have to play as the monster?

Ah, ok.

So what is the bonus round about, what do you do to score points in it?

I can't see the Player, Is that Purposeful?
