A progress report, of sorts, is up on my blog. I'm hoping to have an actual report with pictures and what not here in the next 2 days. Man, have I learned a lot from doing this jam lol.

I got a number of things done today but there is still a long ways to go. If you want to checkout my post here is the link to today's dev log.

Thanks for taking the time to checkout what I've been up to. I've been following along with your progress as well and I really like the art you've been doing. I'm a guy who normally screws up stick figures so there are going to be A LOT of tutorials watched over the next month lol. I've never tried to do a 2D game in Unity so it's also cool to see some of the behind the scenes logic going on with your animation states. Looks much more complex than anything I've ever attempted.

I didn't even think about keeping track of what I was doing for the jam on here and have been writing on my personal blog so I'll make sure to leave links to the daily articles (the days I actually do something worth talking about) on here.

So far I've started to get the procedural generation in place for my level building. The code is pretty rough right now but it's almost functional. I know that it's typically not a good idea to try a new engine but I decided to force myself to use GameMaker Studio 2 over GM:S. So far, I'm really liking the improved UI but it is taking a bit of getting used to.

I'm going with a pretty similar approach, but with a few twists. I'm trying to do a rogue-lite so I've already started working on the procedural generation since I feel it's going to be the most difficult thing to program (since I've never tried doing it before). Other than that, I'm about the same for the rest of my planning.

I'm Justin and I'm a solo dev, and the driving force behind TPGaming. I've been very interested in game development since I was a young boy and only started dabbling with games development in the last year. So far I've been really enjoying the journey and have been like a sponge soaking up as much knowledge as I can.

Aside from dev stuff I'm a gaming news writer over at GameSkinny.com, where I do reviews, interviews, and news pieces about the industry.
