Ooh, thanks for the advice!

I was thinking of submitting my first published project Jake In The City for this jam, but for a number of reasons (one being I eventually realized it was a bit too spicy for a PG 13 rating, LOL) I decided against it, so I'm still brainstorming ideas for something for the jam.

While I was writing Jake In The City, though, I noticed it ended up being a lot longer than I expected. Does anyone else have this problem when writing, where you have trouble estimating how long your final product will be? And does anyone have any advice for keeping your writing from getting too wordy, unwieldy, or otherwise just-plain-too-long?

That was a great little story! The jokes about the car's name(s) made me chuckle. I know how hard it is to finish a full story, so congratulations!
