Trying to use my own military! I build a barracks and they just stay in there

I can't wait for you to describe how the military stuff actually works. I have no idea and it's driving me insane x.x I may also just be struggling to see the obvious though

I found this game through the youtuber known as Nookrium and I gotta say, I kinda love this game already! I can't wait to see what you'll include and add! One idea that could be good to increase the wealth of a settlement is perhaps Upgraded homes? Like, they can hold two instead of one and requires more materials, perhaps wood as well other than mudbricks?
