There are so many wonderful things I can say about this project. For a horror title, which is very effective at the kind of horror it wants to convey, it's strangely comforting in the best kind of way. There's something intrinsically horrific about real life and death is a part of it. This devastation from loss doesn't take away from its beauty though and that comes through earnestly in the VN. The setting and characters are written in a very grounded way despite the paranormal elements and the subject matter. It's one I've been telling you was always a strength of your work! How you write characters. :))

Thanks so much for your wonderful words! We're really excited to get the update out but the team has just hit roadblocks irl so we've slowed down production but rest assured the common route is done, we're only really missing backgrounds now for the final demo before we start working on the branching routes. :))

you have such a way with building an entire life and world around a small conversational context without really getting the reader lost and I think that's awesome, felt that when i read burning red and same thing here. this was a really nice read <3

It took me a while to get to this one but I'm here now and I liked it! Since Eugene's route is the only one out atm, I only read through his parts and I thought he was very sweet. I enjoyed the time spent with him and I appreciate the themes of this isekai adjacent story. Still very much interested to see the other boys' routes so hang in there and keep doing what you guys are doing! :))

UHMMM HELLO???? oh my god my monkey brain just activated the second you mentioned Jamie All Over! You got me to put on A Lesson In Romantics again istg (which recently celebrated 15 years too I follow mayday parade on twitter, gosh i feel so old) xD

Truth be told Taylor's playlist was just my playlist in high school, just replace the mega enthusiasm for mayday parade with paramore. Though, Mayday Parade is way up there in my list of faves.

My fangirling aside, We're so glad to see that you enjoyed the VN! We really did put a lot of thought into depicting the characters as nuanced and realistically as we possibly could and I'm glad it shines through. Don't worry about Julio and Bernadette though, Julio especially is gonna be the focus of the next major arc for the second update so stay tuned for that! Was thinking "soundtrack of my summer" type next few chapters.

Beyond that i am actually so happy that you feel that way about the soundtrack???

Pyr and I have been making music for years now, a lot of it unreleased but there's been a mounting pile of songs that i've written and he's produced in our computers. I write the songs and he produces the music. We're like HUGE HUGE music nerds, and on top of that I'm a film nerd too, so we REALLY put emphasis on making the soundtrack as cohesive and elevating to the narrative as it could possibly be. To see that someone recognizes that it did much more than it needed to really warms my heart!!! The nights staying up talking and discussing influences for the soundtrack (Taylor Swift and Mayday Parade mostly because our protagonist and LI love them so), really helped us create this soundscape that we can be really proud of especially when it feels as effective as we wanted it to be!

Lori's career prospects are definitely going to factor into later updates and we're going to get TAYLOR LORE!!!! That boy's been through a lot, dear god. xD

Anyway thank you again so much for even taking the time to send us all this! It totally made my day and it makes me ecstatic to find someone who likes mayday parade in the comments omg!! I hope you like the next updates in the future. :))

Thanks too for giving your feedback about the art. I am the only artist of the game, and I write and program it as well. I am aware the sprites are rather inconsistent, especially comparing to the sprites I've drawn last year vs. the new side characters we added to the update.

I can't promise that I will update the older sprites eventually as that's very tiring considering that this is a free VN and if I keep going back to redo assets then I doubt we'll ever finish it but perhaps for the final update I could.
